Before and after Botox in Winchester
Before and After Botox in Winchester

If you’ve ever been told you look tired, cross, or a bit down – even when you feel perfectly fine – you’re not alone. Lines between the brows, crinkles around the eyes, or a slightly downturned mouth can give off the wrong impression, and that’s often when people start thinking about Botox.

At The Secret Garden, we’ve treated hundreds of clients over the years. We don’t offer one-area, quick-fix treatments because they rarely give the results people are really looking for. Instead, we take time to look at your face as a whole and understand what’s going to make the biggest difference for you. That often means treating a few key areas together to lift, soften, and bring balance back to your expression – while still looking completely natural.

You’ll get thoughtful, honest advice, and a plan that fits you – not just your lines. Botox can make a real difference, but it’s just one part of a longer-term approach to skin health. We’ll help you combine it with the right skincare and treatments to keep your skin glowing for years to come.

How do you inject Botox?

Small amounts of antiwrinkle medicine is injected into the target areas of the face or body. The injections are done with help of a very fine needle. Common areas to be treated are the forehead, frown lines between the eyebrows and crow's feet around the eyes. but it can also be used for lip lines, to adjust the shape of the face and turn sad lips up! Treatment under the arms can reduce / stop sweating for up to 6 months

Wrinkles caused by sun damage and gravity do not respond to this treatment, but we will advise on other treatments that can help.

How long does a Botox treatment take?

The actual injections take only about 10 minutes. However, every patient is consulted and counselled prior to the treatment and before and after pictures are taken. This is discussed with you.

What will I look like immediately after Botox?

Slight swelling at the site of the injection is fairly common, but usually settles within a few hours. No changes are expected immediately; the results of the treatment are gradual and they are not fully seen until 2 weeks.

How long does Botox last?

For most people, Botox treatment lasts 3-4 months. For some people, it may be slightly longer (up to 6 months( and others, slightly shorter (2-3 months).

Does Botox work for everyone?

Only about 3% of patients develop resistance to Botox, and consequently the duration of the effect is highly reduced. In the unlikely event of this happening to you, we can recommend alternative treatments in the clinic that can achieve very similar results.

Am I suitable for Botox?

You should not have this treatment if you have a disease associated with muscle weakness such as Myasthenia Gravis or Muscular Dystophy. We will not administer Botox if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have any allergies to components of the drug, have used antibiotics in the week prior to the treatment or are taking muscle relaxants.

What else do you use Botox to treat?

Alongside reducing frowns and laughter lines, lifting eyebrows, and smoothing foreheads, we also regularly use Botox to treat excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), gummy smiles and downturned lips.
