The ultimate red carpet treatment

Skin Boosters are also known as the ‘injectable moisturiser’. At The Secret Garden, we curate the perfect recipe when it comes to skin boosters, they’re one of our absolute favourite treatments! When you visit us in clinic for skin boosters, it’s like fitting a filter on your skin, the incredible results are immediately visible, leaving your skin plump, smooth, fresh and glowing!

Types of Skin Boosters at the secret Garden

Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides (also known as “biostimulators”) are injected into the skin much more superficially than fillers to regenerate the health of your skin tissue. They do this by targeting the fibroblasts, instructing them to create a whole host of regenerative effects, including collagen synthesis. They also provide deep hydration, and destroy free radicals responsible for accelerating the ageing process.

Exosomes

Exosomes are nano-sized inter-cellular messengers which are produced by almost every cell in the body. For skin rejuvenation, their potential lies in their ability to repair tissue and regenerate damaged cells. Exosomes promote healing and stimulate collagen production and cell renewal, treating everything from fine lines and wrinkles to scars, sagging skin, sun damage and uneven texture and tone.

Profhilo

‘The injectable moisturiser’; Profhilo, is a fantastic treatment, addressing issues like loss of elasticity and firmness. Profhilo contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, and has a unique ability to attract water into deeper skin layers, resulting in significant tightening and lifting effects. It is injected beneath the skin to provide long-lasting hydration while stimulating collagen and elastin production.

How long do Skin Boosters Last?

After a course of skin boosters, you can expect results to last 4-6 months.

How often Should I get Skin Boosters?

We’d suggest having skin boosters a couple of times a year. They are purely a deeply hydrating treatment to boost your skin and make you look and feel better - so they’re great in the winter if your skin is particularly dry, and we absolutely LOVE them before any big event as the results are so fantastic.

How long to skin boosters take to work?

You will notice the visible improvement to your skin in the very first week. There is minimal downtime, and sometimes tiny little raised bumps can appear at the injection site - but these usually settle within the day of treatment.

Do Skin Boosters really work?

The results speak for themselves! Skin Boosters work to give your skin superficial hydration and there’s only minimal damage to the skin. They can be administered via injection, or massaged into the skin straight after microneedling treatment.

They leave your skin immediately plump and glowing due to the increased hydration, so although they aren’t an anti-ageing treatment, they do plump out very fine lines.

They can also be formulated with other things to improve your skin’s health. So, although the primary element of skin boosters will always be hyaluronic acid, other vitamins, minerals and skin stimulants can be added.

Do Skin Boosters Hurt?

Skin Boosters are given via tiny little superficial injections, usually at a minimum of 10 sites on the face, but it may be more depending on the area we treat. We use topical numbing cream prior to the treatment, and it takes no more than 15 minutes administer the skin boosters. Some people do say it is a little stingy, but we ice the skin afterwards and make sure you’re perfectly comfortable throughout.
